Jesus Came to Save the Lost
God is Love and he who abides in love, abides in God and God in him. Love unites this community of Holy Angels with God. God's Love is manifested in Jesus Christ. Jesus assumed human nature by his wisdom, power, and majesty to do the will of God.
He suffered, died and was buried and on the third (3rd) day he arose. Christ is the spirit of unity. We are united to Christ through love. John 3:16 reminds us that, "God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that who so ever believes in him shall have everlasting life."
By us believing is Jesus Christ,
we are united with him in our love for God. For God is love and they who abide
in love abide in God and God in them. Jesus Christ is the living word of
God. He came down here to earth to show mankind how to live, to do the will of
God, and how to try to imitate Him in our relationship with one another. Jesus
wants us to show love by our actions. And by doing this, His apostolic ministry
will spread throughout the community of Holy Angels and other communities.
God gives us life in special twenty-four (24) hour segments. At the beginning of creation, he made the days, and after each day he saw that it was good. When we learn to take life one day at a time and follow spiritual principles of life and happiness, we too can look back at the end of each day, filled though it may be with pressures and problems, and thank God for a good day.
What you are is God's gift to you. What you do with yourself is your gift to God. Become all you can be-with the help of the Lord. Put Jesus first in your life and do His will. Jesus said, "With God all things are possible." Paul said in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Surrender your life to JESUS, if you have
not already done so and the most amazing things will happen; you will
discover your potential. Thomas Carlyle, one of the great literary
geniuses of the English speaking world, said: "Every one of us has
untapped reservoirs of power." Another statement comes from Thomas A.
Edison, who certainly had one of the greatest brains this country has
produced: "If we did all we are capable of doing, we would literally
astonish ourselves."
Norman Vincent Peale, minister and father of PMA, "Positive Mental Attitude," said, "you have buried within you, resources of strength, thought, and ability. And one of the purposes of the Christian faith is to challenge us to become what we really are." He goes on to raise the question, "have you ever attained your full potential of thought and of life?" The first step, perhaps, is to have an image of yourself; an image of what you are; an image of what you really want to be. Fix that image in your mind.
It seems to me that people ought to realize that Jesus is available to assist them in reaching their objectives in life. If they wander off in the wrong direction and don't know which way to turn, remember what the song writer said, "Ask the Savior to help you, to comfort, strengthen and keep you. He is willing to aid you; He will carry you through."
You remember the shepherd, where he had one hundred (100) sheep and one wander off and got lost and the shepherd left the ninety-nine (99) to go and find the one that was lost. This symbolizes Jesus as the good shepherd and demonstrates his abundant love. He does not want to see anyone lost. He knows that they have a lot of potential and a lot to offer. If we are to understand anything in the scriptures and how it applies to our daily lives, we must look to Jesus and imitate him which was the whole idea behind his rather unpretentious way of life-to teach, direct, encourage and show us the way to the Father. We you see someone lost and headed in the wrong direction, direct them of Jesus. Why? because Jesus came to save the lost.
